It’s easy to locate font with gothic attached to their names, but what makes a gothic typeface? Gothic typeface in itself comes from grotesque which started around 1900. Basically, it’s the synonym of sans serif. Gothier gothic is a great example of a gothic typeface. It is actually the closest to the Linotype’s Old English, which were used in the 19th Century.
